1. Who we are

The Academy Insider is an independent professional football scouting, player development and football consultancy service. Our purpose is to provide players and families with honest, informed assessment, guidance and support in understanding football performance, individual development and potential career and education pathways.

Legal business name, registered address and any company or VAT registration details will be confirmed here before these terms become final. Contact: info@theacademyinsider.com.

Unless expressly agreed in writing and appropriately authorised, we do not act as a football agent, employment agency, immigration adviser or legal adviser. We do not claim endorsement by any professional club, governing body, school or university.

2. Our services

3. Professional scouting assessments

A scouting report is an independent professional opinion based on the player's observed performance, available footage, match circumstances and the assessor's expertise. It is intended to give honest, constructive feedback, help players understand their current performance, identify technical, tactical, physical and behavioural priorities, support realistic development planning and inform reassessment and pathway discussions.

• Assessments reflect the performance observed at the time.
• A single match cannot definitively determine a player's future potential.
• Results can vary with opposition, position, match circumstances and footage quality.
• Professional judgement may differ between assessors.
• T.I.P.S. and Insider Scores are proprietary Academy Insider measures, not official professional-club ratings.
• Purchasing an assessment does not guarantee a positive report, referral, trial, scholarship, contract or professional opportunity.

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Disagreeing with an honestly delivered professional opinion does not on its own entitle you to a refund, but this never affects your statutory rights.

4. Referrals and pathways

Where a player demonstrates an appropriate level of ability, performance, profile and development potential, The Academy Insider may consider referring that player to relevant contacts within its professional or semi-professional football network.

• Referrals are discretionary and only players considered suitable will be considered.
• Purchasing an assessment does not purchase a referral.
• There is no guarantee of a trial, contract, scholarship or placement.
• Clubs, schools and other organisations make their own decisions and we cannot guarantee their responses.

Before sharing identifiable player information, reports, footage or contact details with any external organisation we obtain informed consent from the player or, where required, a parent/guardian. We record the purpose, recipient or recipient category, the information shared, the consent date and who gave consent. Consent to referral is never a condition of buying an assessment, and you may withdraw consent for future sharing at any time by emailing us.

5. International consultancy

Worldwide Video Scouting is delivered remotely. In-person coaching is currently based in Sutton Coldfield. International education and football opportunities depend on eligibility, availability and third-party decisions; we do not guarantee visas, school admission, scholarships, club registration, trials or employment. Please obtain immigration, legal, tax and education advice from appropriately qualified professionals. Any third-party fees, travel or accommodation costs will be disclosed separately before you commit.

6. Payments and pricing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Before you pay we show the service, total price, currency (GBP), any agreed travel or service charges, whether the payment is one-off or recurring, the billing frequency, what is included and your cancellation rights.

Live Scouting and similar location-dependent services are priced and agreed with you before a payment link is issued. We may suspend paid services after a valid payment failure, subject to applicable law.

7. Subscriptions and memberships

Insider Video 2, Insider Video 4, Small Group Development Membership and Small Group Plus Membership renew automatically at the disclosed billing frequency until cancelled. There are no undisclosed cancellation fees or minimum commitments.

• You can cancel at any time by emailing info@theacademyinsider.com (or through your account where available); we will stop future billing.
• Charges validly incurred before cancellation remain payable.
• Cancelling a card or bank instruction alone may not end the service agreement — please tell us too.
• Unless stated otherwise, access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
• Your statutory refund rights are unaffected.

8. Intellectual property and reports

We retain our rights in our scouting report templates, T.I.P.S. methodology, Insider scoring system, website content, branding, coaching materials and development resources. You receive a personal-use licence to access and use reports you purchase.

You keep any rights you hold in footage you upload, and you must have permission to upload and share it. We do not claim ownership of third-party recordings, and we never use identifiable reports or footage for promotion without appropriate permission.

9. Liability and third-party decisions

Our reports are independent professional opinions. We are not responsible for sporting outcomes, or for decisions made by clubs, schools, scholarship providers or other third parties, or for loss caused by inaccurate information you give us, service interruptions or events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, nor affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Any further limitation will be fair, reasonable and subject to legal review.

10. Under-18 players

Accounts and bookings for players under 18 must be made and managed by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the player's behalf.

11. Complaints

Email info@theacademyinsider.com with your name, the player's name, the service, the date and what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge within 5 working days and respond fully within 20 working days. Assessment complaints are reviewed against the evidence and footage available; payment disputes are checked against Stripe records. 12. Accepting these terms

At booking or payment you will be asked to tick: "I have read and agree to The Academy Insider Terms & Conditions and acknowledge the applicable Refunds & Cancellations Policy." We record the version accepted and the date and time. Marketing consent is always separate.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
